Vietnamese Monument
777 W. Central. Along the riverbehind the Westar Energy plant, life-sized bronze statues portraythe camaraderie of an Americanand a Vietnamese soldier. Themonument and large plaque are from the Vietnamese American community of Wichita in "memoryand honor of American, Vietnam-ese and Allied soldiers who fought to resist the North Viet-namese Communist aggression." The plaque provides a moving history of the South Vietnam-ese struggles.
