Hale Library

1117 Mid-Campus (KSU campus). Romanesque Revival architecture renders this library, dedicated in 1997, an impressive sight. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, you’ll want to see room 304, said to resemble Hogwarts Castle Great Hall! On the library’s third floor, the Great Room (part of the original 1927 library) is stunning. It features dark woodwork, tall windows, ceiling timbers, and four 11x14 foot murals by David Hicks Overmyer that were a 1934 Public Works of Art Project. Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-8 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday 1-5 p.m.; Sunday 1-8 p.m.
