Tootle Park

Miltonvale, KS

Tootle Park

E. 1st. Milton Tootle owned the land designated for the townsite, thus the name of the town, park, and festival (Tootlefest). Among the amenities in this picturesque park is the pedestrian stone bridge with three arches. The band shell, park entrances, and creek were built as 1936 WPA projects and have been restored. One of the entrance posts at E. 1st contains a WPA plaque, and in the other post is etched, “Tootle Park.” In 2002, as a community project, the townspeople built a park playground and named it Tootleville.
