Stage Coach Station Number 15
U.S. 36. In 1859 William Russell and John Jones operated the Leavenworth and Pike’s Peak Express stagecoach line from Leavenworth to Denver. This replica of Station Number 15, a log cabin, has a viewing window through which you can see furnishings of that era. Russell later partnered with Alexander Majors and William Waddell on another venture—the Pony Express.
