Stafford First Methodist Episcopal Church
Very uncommon for churches of this period, the exterior of this 1926 structure is of the English Collegiate Gothic style, identified by the streamlined form of this nearly square brown-brick building. The interior's Prairie School style is evident by the beautiful stained-glass ceiling windows and stained-glass pyramid lamps hanging from it. Fans of architect Frank Lloyd Wright will see his imprint here, which is not surprising since this church was designed by Wichita architect Don Buel Schuler who previously had worked for Wright. Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (NRHP)
