Rosedale Memorial Arch
35th and Booth (Mount Marty Park). The Rosedale Memorial Arch commemorates those from the Rosedale area who served and sacrificed during WWI. Local resident John LeRoy Marshall designed the arch, basing it on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. Dedicated in 1923, it stands at the crest of a hill and overlooks the Kansas City skyline. In 1993 a large monument was placed under the arch to honor the Rosedale veterans who lost their lives in WWII through Vietnam. (NRHP)
