Canton is the southeast end of this 80-mile byway that ends at Mushroom Rock State Park in Ellsworth County. From the buffalo tram ride at Maxwell Wildlife Refuge in Canton to the “castle” at Coronado Heights, the Swedish village of Lindsborg, and the western history in Ellsworth, this is a charming route through the mixed-grass prairie.
