Pioneer-Krier Museum

The feature exhibit focuses on Harold Krier, an Ashland native and an inter- nationally known precision aerobatic pilot who wowed crowds with his daring feats during the 1950s and 1960s. A colorful museum display includes one of his stunt planes, many photographs, memorabilia, and show bills. Krier died in a parachute accident in 1971 and is buried in Highland Cemetery. Other exhibits feature local pioneers and area notables such as opera singer Rodney Hardesty, world-record miler Wes Santee, and Notre Dame football coach and athletic director Jesse Clair Harper. Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-5 p.m. Call for appointment for weekends and other times.
