Mitchell County Courthouse
111 S. Hersey. With its limestone walls and sandstone trim, this beautiful structure was designed in Romanesque Revival style by J.C. Holland, architect for the Kansas State Capitol. It is the only courthouse in the state with screen-door entrances. Of interest are the ornate fireplaces in some offices. Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. (NRHP)
