Jack Rabbits

The black-tailed jack rabbit is found throughout the state, but it's more common on the western Kansas prairies. Stay alert. If you see a creature with large hind feet and ears about 5 inches long bounding along about 40 miles per hour, you've seen a jack rabbit! This speedy creature is the mascot of Greeley County High School in Tribune.
