Clearwater was formed when the Chisholm Trail came through the area in 1867. The famous route is marked on the south side of the Historical Museum and at the Chisholm Trail Sports Complex, 908 E. Ross. From 4th, ¼ mile east on Ross to the sports complex, south into the parking lot, then walk a short distance south.
