The WPA built the Bureau of Indian Affairs Agency building (908 1st) in 1942 and the Horton Free Public Library (809 1st) in 1938. Interestingly, the library houses a collection of 24 pairs of WPA dolls. The Horton Civic Center (125 W. 7th) is also a WPA project and originally was used as a county fair building.
