Historic Stone Mill

Cedar Point, KS

Historic Stone Mill

From U.S. 50, ½ mile south on 1st. The 1875 multistory Drinkwater & Schriver mill still stands on the banks of the Cottonwood River. And in the nick of time efforts are ongoing to save and restore this elegant piece of history, with a future addition of a museum. The best views of the old mill are from the street and the bridge, and visitors are welcome to walk by to see the architecture. The original wooden water wheel is a clue to how special this site will be when finished. (NRHP)
