Cars on the Route
Visitors flock to see the fabled little 1951 International tow truck that inspired the Tow Mater character in the hit animated movie Cars (2006). The truck was once used to lift equipment from mine shafts. Have your picture taken next to the perky rusted truck and other vehicles that resemble the movie's characters. Then step inside this renovated 1926 Kan-O-Tex gas station to shop for Route 66 souvenirs, and to see a few historic photos and memorabilia from bygone days. April-September, Tuesday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Wednesday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Friday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
