2100 Baptiste (south of Miami County Medical Center). In a landscaped circle look for a large stone with bronze plaques. One depicts a likeness of Baptiste Peoria and honors this chief of the confederated tribes in the Miami County area. A second plaque commemorates the area’s American Indian heritage.
