Scott County consistently ranks in the top agriculture-producing counties in the state and in the nation. Agriculture generated $820 million in revenue in 2016. It’s big business! The county contains 17 commercial cattle yards that feed in excess of 400,000 head annually. It also comprises six commercial swine operations, one dairy, and cropland that produces grain sorghum, wheat, corn, soybeans, and sunflowers.
