Eight Mile Corner
From Morton, ½ mile south on U.S. 56, 7¾ miles west on A. You’ll see a 1903 windmill whose weather vane bears the names Kansas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. It’s around here that the three states meet, but the exact location has changed over the years. In 1990 a brass plate, whose inscription implies it is at the point where the states meet, was imbedded in the middle of Road A, 50 feet southwest of the old windmill. In the late spring yucca bordering the roadway are in bloom.
