1430 S. Fossil. Russell flourished in the oil-boom days of the 1920s and 1930s, and the story of the people and events surrounding these times is told here. Outside the museum, see oil-field equipment and three limestone sculptures by artist Gary Christy. Memorial Day-Labor Day, Thursday 4-6 p.m. and Friday 2-4 p.m. Open by appointment year-round. Donation welcome.
