Emmett Kelly Museum

Named for native son and famous circus clown Emmett Kelly (1898-1979), this museum features a small exhibit about Kelly's sad-faced character, Willie, and his circus career. Occupying a former opera house (RHKP) built in 1904, the museum also displays pieces of local history including a collection of about 75 radios and more than 1,500 decanters. June-August, Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. For an appointment, call 620.249.3976 or 662.299.7041.
