Miners Hall Museum

On this site, prior to the 2003 tornado, stood a community hall where the Amazon Army (a women's protest group supporting striking miners) started its march in 1921. A new metal building now occupies the spot and serves as the Miners Hall Museum. From a pickax to a log sheet, mining and miner artifacts portray this cultural history. Displays feature life in the mines, social and home life, health and safety, and more. Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
