Oak Hill Cemetery
From Massachusetts, ¾ mile east on 13th, then ¼ mile southeast on Oak Hill. Pick up a cemetery brochure from the Lawrence Visitor Center, 812 Massachusetts, so you won’t miss finding the gravestones of Governors Charles Robinson and Wilson Shannon and of President Lincoln’s Secretary of the Interior John P. Usher. The cemetery’s winding and shaded roadways encompass many more interesting memorials, including a monument to victims of Quantrill’s raid.
