Seelye Mansion
1105 N. Buckeye. In 1905 A.B. Seelye, famous patent medicine inventor, completed this grand 25-room Georgian style mansion with massive portico at a cost of $55,000. Guided tours highlight the original furniture, Edison light fixtures, a ballroom, and a bowling alley—this mansion is an example of opulent living! Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sunday 1-4 p.m. Admission charge (pay at the Seelye Patent Medicine Museum east of the mansion). (NRHP) (8 Wonders of Kansas - Architecture)
