Kansas Teachers' Hall of Fame and Gunfighters Wax Museum
The purpose of the first (1977) teachers' hall of fame in the country is to honor outstanding Kansans in the field of education for grades K-12 and vocational schools. In addition, the facility exhibits school artifacts including early books, globes, water dipper, and desks. Your admission also admits you to the kitschy throwback Gunfighters Wax Museum attraction. June-August, Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m. September to mid-December, Thursday-Saturday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Admission charge.
