Shaffer House Museum & Art Center
A Masonic room, WWI photographic equipment, memorabilia from the oldest Chevrolet dealership in the nation, and more are found inside this three-story frame building, now the Shaffer House Museum, 2nd and Plum. The house, originally built in the late 1800s as a rooming house, took on the shape and style seen today in 1919 when Dr. C.E. Shaffer purchased it, added to it, and opened a private hospital. The structure later was used as an apartment building, and in 1973 it became the town’s museum. June-August, Saturday and Wednesday 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
