Excelsior Water Mill
From 4th, 4 blocks east on Kennebec. The mill stands erect and proud on the banks of the Neosho River after nearly succumbing to neglect. The sturdy three story native stone flour mill was built in 1869 and later produced hydroelectric power for Burlington. After sitting empty for decades, the 5,000-square-foot building has been regally restored as a private residence. Drive by only.
