Dickinson County Road Names

As you drive the county roads, notice that no road name has more than five letters. It was a financial decision—more than five letters increased the price! North-south roads are alphabetical from west to east. East-west roads are numerical, starting with 100 Ave. in the southern end of the county and increasing by 100 each mile.
