Double Parking
The double parallel parking in the middle of the street is not a sight you see everyday! But trail towns often formed with an extra wide street to allow wagon trains to pass or to circle. Stores formed along both sides of the wide street. Thus, the street remained wide when it was paved or bricked in later years, often in the 1920s.
