Dalton Defenders Museum

The feature display centers on the Dalton Gang robberies and honors the citizens who defended the town. Additional exhibits focus on major league pitching sensation Walter Johnson, 1940 presidential candidate Wendell Willkie (who taught at Coffeyville High School in 1913), the town’s six brick plants, and additional early history. An extra treat is a replica of one of the largest hailstones on record! It fell in Coffeyville in 1970. Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sunday 1-4 p.m. Admission charge.
