Waudby’s Sports Bar & Grill
719 N. Main. Half the fun of eating and having a cold one in Waudby’s is stepping inside the 1886 building with wood floors and wainscoting. In 1926 Alfred Waudby converted it into a pool hall for oil workers, and billiard benches still line both sides of the long open room. Also of interest are the two murals, painted in 1939 by a transient named Gesser and restored in 2004 by Rick Rupp. Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-12 a.m.; Sunday 11 a.m.-9 p.m. (NRHP)
