Stone Bridge Tour
The abundance of native limestone provided a natural resource for building bridges throughout the county. The following historic bridges are found south of K-96. The tour starts from Bazine.
1. 1935 Bazine Vicinity Triple Arch Bridge: From Main, 4 blocks west on Burgess, 1¼ mile south Dd, then 1½ miles west on 110.
2. 1935 Walnut Creek Tributary Triple Arch Bridge: From bridge #1, ¾ mile west on 110.
3. 1934 Ness County Triple Arch Bridge (WPA; NRHP): From bridge #2, ¾ mile west on 110, 9 miles south on Aa, then ¾ mile east on 20.
4. 1928 Pawnee River Tributary Double Arch Bridge (NRHP): From Bridge #3, ¼ mile east on 20, 2 miles north on Bb, 2 miles east on 40, then ¼ mile north on Dd.
