Milford Nature Center
3415 Hatchery. From Milford, 4¾ miles south on U.S. 77, 3¼ miles southwest on K-57, then ¼ mile north on Hatchery. Inside are nature exhibits, and outside is a Kansas-themed playground complete with an oversized “eagle’s nest” (one you can roost in!). A short nature trail leads you by the lake and through a tunnel of branches. During the season, butterflies will tickle your nose in the butterfly garden. Year round, Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; January-October, Third Thursday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; April-September, Saturday-Sunday 1-5 p.m.
