Hand-Dug Well

301 N. 11th (City Park). Dug in 1895, the well is 34 feet wide and 65 feet deep, the second largest extant hand-dug well in the state. It’s a visible reminder of the town’s original water system. The well is covered, so contact the Nemaha County Historical Society if you’d like to see it.
