Gella's Diner and Lb. Brewing
115 E. 11th. Wondering about the name? Both reference the Volga German heritage. Lb. stands for “liquid bread” and is a nod to field-working settlers who drank beer when they couldn’t stop for lunch. Gella’s means “you know” and is said at the end of a sentence to make sure the listener agrees. Everyone agrees that the handcrafted microbrews and regional cuisine are award winning. Opening in 2005 the innovative architecture spans four storefronts in the heart of the Chestnut Street Historic District. Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Friday-Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
