Fort Hays-Fort Dodge Road Markers

From Wash in Jetmore, 12 miles south on Main (U.S. 283), then 1½ miles east on Antelope. In a fence line stands a small post rock marker for the Fort Hays-Fort Dodge Road. Behind it an unusual formation—a barbed wire ball atop three large rock posts—marks the crossing point of this military supply route.
