Edwards County Museum and Sod House

U.S. 56 and U.S. 50. Featured is an enlarged 1939 Saturday Evening Post cover depicting two cars passing each other, each going to a world's fair on different coasts. The illustration is set in the middle in Kinsley, thus inspiring the town's nickname “Midway USA.” Other displays portray early Edwards County history, the Santa Fe Trail, and a replica sod house. A steam engine, wooden windmill, and 1884 church on the museum grounds complete the complex. A veterans memorial stands east of the museum. May-September, Monday- Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday 1-5 p.m.
