Colwich St. Mark's Catholic Church
From Chicago, 3 miles south on 167 W., then 1½ miles west on W. 29 N. It’s worth the short drive to see this stately 1906 limestone structure with a four-sided clock tower. If the doors are open, step inside to see the strikingly beautiful barrel-vaulted ceiling, which includes a painting of the Trinity in the apse above the altar. (NRHP)
