Cedar Crest Mansion
1 SW Cedar Crest. Built in 1928 by publisher Frank MacLennan, this French architecture estate was later donated to the State of Kansas by MacLennan’s widow. In 1961 it became the official residence of the governor, the smallest in the country but on the largest acreage. Notice the iron sunflower art on the entrance gate. Parking is west of the mansion.
