Ursuline Sisters of Paola
901 E. Miami. The Ursuline Sisters of Paola trace their roots back to Brescia, Italy, in 1535. Their rich history travels from there through France and Germany, to Kentucky in 1858, and then to Paola in 1895. Upon settling here they established a boarding school that grew and prospered until it closed in 1971. The Sisters have moved to Kentucky, and their convent is now used as a community center.
