Quindaro Ruins and Overlook
3507 N. 27th. From the overlook you see an area that once was Quindaro, a short-lived territorial town and black settlement. Due to the river’s changing course, only a few sections of the town’s rock and brick foundations remain. Now an archeological district (NRHP), Quindaro was also home to Wyandot Indians and abolitionists, and it was an important stop on the Underground Railroad.
