Karnes Stone Barn
4204 E. 129. From U.S. 56, 3½ miles north on Maple (becomes Shawnee Heights), then 2 miles west on 129. The limestone barn with center gable and cupola was built in 1877 by circus owner George R. Bronson as a place to house his circus animals in the winter. The Karnes family purchased the farm in the 1930s and still owns it today. (NRHP)
