Frontier Army Museum
100 Reynolds. This fine museum preserves and interprets the story of the frontier army from 1804 to 1917 and of Fort Leavenworth from 1827 to the present. It houses one of the finest collections of 19th-century military artifacts in the country. Included is a large selection of horse-drawn military vehicles, a wagon in which Abraham Lincoln rode in 1859, and Henry Leavenworth’s 1832 general officer’s coat.
