Fort Fletcher Stone Arch Bridge

From I-70 exit 172, 4 1/2 miles south on Walker. After crossing Big Creek, pull over and look under the road to see the four-arch bridge. It was completed by the WPA in 1936 and renovated by the county in 2003. The short-lived Fort Fletcher was established in 1865 just west of the bridge. It was moved in 1866 and renamed Fort Hays.
