Dutch Mill
406 E. 4th (City Park). The 40-foot-tall Schonhoff Mill with a base diameter of 25 feet was built of native limestone by a Dutch immigrant in 1879. In 1924 members of the park board took the mill apart stone by stone and moved it 12 miles to its present site where the public can admire it. All parts of this impressive mill were moved by horse-drawn wagons. (NRHP)
