Round Square
4 Public Square. From U.S. 77, 1 block south on Main. Blue Rapids holds the distinction of having the only round town square in the state. Dating to 1870 when Taylor Holbrook platted the town, the round square acts as the town hub with streets projecting from it like wheel spokes. Within the square you’ll find Fountain Park, complete with picturesque fountain and an ornate stone veterans memorial. Among the memorial’s several plaques, a unique bronze plate placed in 1920 honors the “Blue Rapids Boys in the Service 1914-18.” (8 Wonders of Kansas - Customs)
